Guides to Actualize Your Potential
Ancient alchemists searching for the secrets of inner transformation used to start by reading one source, allowing themselves to be guided to the next.
Eventually, the mysteries of the Great Work would reveal themselves to the persistent few.
This website is dedicated to modern alchemists seeking self-transformation. The in-depth guides found here support your self-actualization, inner work, and Self-realization—the Triadic Ground.

The Triadic Ground: Three Paths Home
While each individual’s journey is unique, development itself follows a specific threefold path: Self-actualization, shadow work, and spiritual awakening. I call it the Triadic Ground.
Self-actualization is the process of becoming who you’re meant to be.
Shadow work is the process of integrating everything you left behind.
Self-realization is the process of shedding your false self and returning home to the original Self.
Of course, these are not isolated paths, and development doesn’t follow a straight line. Each path blends and merges with the other.
The guides I publish on this website are organized into these three domains. The fourth category, Inner Practice, provides the foundation, or ground, that supports the other three.
Self-Actualization: Becoming Who You’re Meant to Be
Self-Actualization is the ongoing process of realizing your natural potential. It starts out focused on the external—achievement, cognitive development, skill building, personality growth—and becomes progressively internal over time.

Shadow Work: Getting to Know Your Real Personality
Shadow Work is the process of getting to know everything about yourself that’s currently outside your awareness. This intensive inner work can be a bit chaotic and disorienting at first. As you continue to integrate your “darker half,” the path becomes more grounded and steady.

Reminders for Your Self-Actualization Journey
While we’re each unique, we tend to follow similar developmental patterns shaped by prior conditioning.
For your inner journey, keep the following in mind:
Learning, growth, and development are natural processes.
Everyone is capable of growth and development. (It’s not for a “select few.”)
Talent isn’t “born.” Skill is cultivated through willful effort, focus, and repetition.
Learning unfolds best through deliberate practice.
Setbacks and failures are part of the developmental process (not a sign to give up).
The more you get out of your own way (mind chatter), the more fluid self-actualization becomes.
Embrace the “plateau.” There will be many times when it feels like no progress is being made. It’s normal.
The more deliberate attention (energy) you place on your actions, the faster you grow and develop.
Focus on what’s most important to you instead of directing your attention outward to others.
Distractions are not your ally. Consciously seek to reduce and eliminate them.
The principle of the Center is sublime.
Don’t take yourself too seriously. (We’re all a bit ridiculous.)
These reminders (percepts) can serve you well.
How to Get Started
In my experience, the key to self-development and self-actualization is to focus on your interests.
Or, as Joseph Campbell put it, “Follow your bliss.”
First, select one of the domains of the Triadic Ground.
Then, scan the list of topics and click on whatever catches your attention.
Dive in and see where the Great Work takes you.
Safe journey!
