About Scott Jeffrey

For over 25 years, I helped high-performing entrepreneurs, CEOs, best-selling authors, and thought leaders access their higher potential and grow their businesses. On the surface, I was a business coach helping already successful clients further scale their businesses and become better leaders. Beneath that, the focus was on helping them get to know themselves and find personal meaning in this chaotic world.

I’m self-taught. The authors who influenced my thinking the most include Carl Jung, Abraham Maslow, Ken Wilber, Joseph Campbell, Robert Moore, Robert A. Johnson, and Thomas Cleary (translator).

As a coach, however, I wasn’t just interested in theoretical knowledge and ideas. Instead, I always focused mainly on practices and methods. For example, I’ve engaged in various daily contemplative practices for over 30 years. I’ve been training in qigong and various internal martial arts for over 15 years.

I don’t subscribe to any one school of thought. For example, I don’t see myself as a Jungian, Maslowian, or Taoist. I take an interdisciplinary approach to my understanding, practices, and writing. This approach allows me to integrate principles, insights, and methods from various schools of thought, both Western and Eastern.

For close to a decade, I was also a managing partner and marketing consultant at a boutique consulting firm offering psychological insights for leading brands like Kohl’s Department Stores, Scheels, LA Lakers, UNICEF, Turner Classic Movies, and The Life is Good Company.

Writing, connecting ideas, and sharing knowledge have always been important to me. Over the years, I’ve been told many times that I have a unique gift for distilling complex ideas into practical, easy-to-understand explanations that people can use. (Of course, you’ll have to evaluate for yourself if that’s true or not.)

In addition to publishing over 100 in-depth guides for this site, I also authored four books including Creativity Revealed: Discovering the Source of Inspiration. I live a rather reclusive life in a remote location at the foothills of the Catskills Mountains in upstate New York.

About CEOsage

In 2014, I slowly began publishing in-depth guides on this website. Within a few years, millions of readers found these guides, and interest continued to grow.

These guides emphasize deeper aspects of self-development including Jungian or depth psychology, humanistic psychology, contemplative practices, emotional intelligence, transpersonal studies, qigong, body-mind integration, and Taoist philosophy.

With my background as a personal and business coach, I also provide numerous self-coaching guides that are used by both individuals (DIY) and new coaches. To review some of these popular guides, go to Guides and scroll down to “Self-Coaching.”

This website also offers a series of online courses that take you deeper into the material covered here. My popular flagship program, Shadow Training, shows individuals how to get to know and integrate their shadow.

I’ve published over 100 in-depth guides on this website. The best way to access all of them is to subscribe to my list. You'll receive one guide each week. Plus, you'll get notified when a new guide is published.
