Do you know what your Future Self looks like, personally and professionally?
Imagine having a clear, personalized roadmap of where you are now, where you're headed, and how you're going to get there ...
Hi, I’m Scott Jeffrey, author, business coach and founder of CEOsage, a transformational leadership agency.
I wrestled with confusion and a lack of clarify and focus early in my career.
Looking around, I thought everyone else knew what they were doing—except for me. I believed that there was a “track” I was supposed to be on, but I just couldn’t find it.
I would go in one direction, thinking “this is it!” only later to become disenchanted. This happened with several businesses, friends, and interests. I just didn’t know what I was doing wrong. The problem was I lacked clarity and direction.
Soon after, I began coaching entrepreneurs. I was young. Too young and inexperienced perhaps, but I was fortunate to get some early wins.
These were individuals that I thought had everything together. I would never have shared my uncertainty with them at the time. In my mind, they had found success where I had failed.
But through these early coaching relationships, I began to realize they also lacked clarity.
They didn’t really know what they should be doing either. Their goals were largely arbitrary and didn’t necessarily support who they were in the process of becoming.
I later realized it wasn’t my or my client’s fault that we lacked clarity. Reflecting back on early development, I began to see a different picture.
We are born into a system that puts us on a generic track. We are told what to read, what should be important to us, what to believe, and what to do.
We are asked specific questions and told there is only one right answer. It’s as if we’re all circles being forced into square holes.
And through this early conditioning process, we often lose our natural spontaneity and the joy of learning and self-discovery.
The real problem isn't us, but the conventional systems we're born into. And these systems crush our innate creativity and limit our potential unless we take matters into our own hands, embarking on an individual journey to return to ourselves.
Let me ask you a question:
Do you have a clear vision of your Future Self?
I mean, do you know who you're in the process of becoming?
THIS is an important question, and if your answer is, "I don't know," fear not. You're not alone.
Without a personal vision for your Future Self, these signs appears:
These are just some of the symptoms of a lack of vision—signs that you're off your natural growth path.
Once I realized the nature of the problem, I became more focused on finding practical solutions for myself and my clients. I sought tools for self-discovery and personal transformation.
I searched for anything that might lead to rapid and meaningful progress in self-development—methods that would bring greater fulfillment on our life adventures.
After implementing dozens of tools and methods, I began witnessing my clients flourish.
Yes, they made more money, but many people do that and stay miserable. I observed how they began to approach life differently, in a way that was more relaxed and natural for them.
You see, I thought we just needed clarity, but I didn’t realize that we were all also looking for a greater sense of inner freedom.
Freedom is one the "B-values" or Being values psychologist Abraham Maslow identified in his study of self-actualizing individuals. When you're moving in a direction of growth and actualizing your potential, you feel free.
When, for whatever reason, you're off your path, you feel stifled, stuck, anxious, and depressed.
So if we're all seeking inner freedom, why don't we just hop on our growth path and get going?
Well, for some folks it is that easy. They naturally "slip" onto their path—often at a young age—and stick to their passions throughout life.
For most of us, the path isn't so clear.
And this is why most people can benefit from a competent coach.
Bob Nardelli, former CEO of Home Depot, said, “I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, never reach their full potential.”
Admittedly, I'm biased, but I agree with Mr. Nardelli. I believe most of us need a coach at different stages of our development to help get clarity, connect to our vision, guide us through common pitfalls, and help us achieve our goals.
But not everyone is in a position to hire a personal coach and some people just need short-term coaching to give them the clarity they need to charge forward on their adventure.
A step-by-step coaching program to help you get clarity, establish your personal vision, build meaningful momentum, and experience greater gratification in your work and life
The Life Path Builder Course is practical and direct. There’s no fluff or filler content.
Through 10 written sessions, it walks you step-by-step through a specific set of assessments, exercises, and discovery processes designed to give you the clarity you need to live the life you want.
This program draws on some of the in-depth personal development guides on my website, but in very specific and direct ways.
You see, over time, I've come appreciate the importance of sequence. Doing the steps out of order limits your results.
For example, if you attempt to establish your personal vision, but you haven't undergone the necessary processes first, your not going to feel satisfied with your answer. You'll feel like there's "something missing," and you're right!
This course contains 10 coaching session modules. Each module gives you a brief introduction to the topic and primes you for the discovery process that follows. Each session provides specific action steps and resources to help you complete it.
Each discovery session will take between 30 minutes to two hours. But you can go through the course at your own pace—as fast or slow as you want.
I guide you step-by-step through the process I take my clients through. Think of it as having a virtual coach!
There’s a specific sequence that helps facilitate this process without creating unnecessary resistance. (Getting stuck is the main reason most people never complete these types of self-discovery processes.)
All of the modules in this course are like pieces to your personal self-actualization puzzle.
Each module completes a portion of your personal map, what I call your Personal Snapshot.
Think of this Personal Snapshot as your life plan or your personal map for self-development and higher achievement. Every business needs some kind of plan or strategic vision that guides daily decisions and actions.
But the problem with most planning processes is that we tend to complicate things. And the more complicated our plans get, the less practical they become.
When you complete the Life Path Builder course you’ll have all of the necessary ingredients and insights for your life adventure highlighted on a single page.
I provide you with the template I use with my clients that you can fill out as you progress through this course.
By the end of this self-coaching process, your have a powerful tool you can use each day to accelerate your self-development and professional goals.
Once you've completed this course, you can use your Snapshot to:
Your Personal Snapshot will become a powerful tool that you review, update, and refine throughout your life journey!
